Ecosystem Restoration Program

Project Number 1994-049-00

Construction of Libby Dam trapped nutrients behind the dam and disconnected floodplains from the river. This project adds nutrients directly to the river near the Montana border, in order to enhance the lower levels of the food web. This program contributes to recovery and viability of multiple native aquatic species.
